Underground garage dust
Cars kept in the condo towers around City Centre come out coated in a fine concrete and tire dust that behaves like sandpaper. The damage almost always happens when someone wipes it off dry — which puts more swirls into City Centre cars than any other single cause.
No way to wash at home
Condo garages nearly all prohibit washing, and there's no driveway alternative. Cars here go long stretches without a proper clean and then get run through a brush wash, which compounds the problem.
Lease returns
A lot of City Centre cars are leases, and wear-and-tear charges at return are where a $250 detail pays for itself several times over. The interior is what gets assessed hardest.
What we'd recommend
Never wipe a dusty car dry — that's the whole ballgame. We'll come to your visitor lot for interiors and express work; underground garages we usually can't get into. If you're within a few months of a lease return, book the deep clean before the inspection, not after.
